Dr Scott has been an Expert Witness for the past 15 years, assessing over 200 cases a year. He is an acknowledged expert in the medico-legal field and is joint author with Dr Sembi of ‘Unreliable Assessment in Civil Litigation’ (2002) – the full paper is available on the British Psychological Society website www.bps.org.uk.

He is also the author of ‘Stress and Compensation A Critical Analysis’ in Occupational Illness Litigation Eds A. McDonald and A. Georges (2003) London: Sweet and Maxwell. Dr Scott’s recent book, ‘Moving On After Trauma’ (2007) contains a chapter ‘Justice’ to help litigants understand and manage the stresses of litigation.
